Security Guard’s Split-Second Decision Vindicated in Deadly Encounter

Published

on

In a recent incident in Aurora, Colorado, a security guard found himself in a life-threatening situation when a man placed a gun to the back of his head outside a 7-Eleven. The confrontation, which occurred around 9 p.m. on August 31, ended with the security guard fatally shooting the assailant. After a thorough investigation, prosecutors have decided not to charge the guard, citing self-defense.

The incident unfolded when Vernon Dorsey approached the security guard, who was patrolling in front of the convenience store. Dorsey, armed with a handgun, demanded that the guard surrender his weapon and threatened to kill him. This led to a struggle between the two men as Dorsey attempted to disarm the guard.

In the heat of the moment, the guard managed to retain control of his firearm and shot Dorsey in the chest. When law enforcement arrived at the scene, they discovered Dorsey suffering from a gunshot wound. Tragically, he later succumbed to his injuries. Dorsey was 36 years old.

Following a comprehensive review of the evidence, both the District Attorney’s Office and the Aurora Police Department concluded that the security guard’s actions were justified as self-defense. The police had initially suspected the same, taking the guard in for questioning but recognizing the circumstances he faced.

Iron Spear Protection Group LLC, the company providing security services for 7-Eleven, expressed unwavering support for their employee. They stated their backing with “absolute certainty” after evaluating the situation. The company’s president assured that the guard was recovering well and spending time with his family.

Public reaction to the incident has largely been supportive of the guard’s actions. Comments on social media reflected this sentiment, with one user stating, “Good work, sir, here is a raise,” while another added, “He did his job, and he defended himself in the process.”

This case underscores the complexities and dangers faced by security personnel, often requiring split-second decisions that can have life-altering consequences.

Kamala Supporter Arrested for Assaulting Trump Fans in Edmonds Clash

Published

on

An incident in Edmonds, Washington, has drawn significant attention after an 82-year-old woman was arrested on charges of a hate crime and assault. The altercation involved two women, Gina Powell, 55, and Mary Jennings, 66, who were publicly demonstrating their support for former President Donald Trump. The confrontation occurred just a day before the 2024 presidential election.

Powell, who is Hispanic, recounted the encounter with the elderly woman, who was identified as a supporter of Kamala Harris. The suspect, wearing a “Harris-Waltz 2024” button, reportedly approached the Trump supporters with hostility. Powell shared with KTTH host Jason Rantz, “She looked at my face and said, ‘I can’t believe you’re voting for a racist … how dare you, you should be ashamed of yourself.’”

The incident escalated when the suspect allegedly pushed Powell and punched her in the chin. Powell, who was wearing a T-shirt that read: “Pro-God, Pro-Gun, Pro-Life, Pro-Trump,” described the physical altercation, stating, “And then, not even a second, she just popped me right in my chin.”

Mary Jennings, who attempted to intervene, was also reportedly assaulted. She described being punched in the chin and having her jaw “slammed” shut by the elderly woman. Despite the physical confrontation, neither Powell nor Jennings required medical attention, though Powell admitted she was “still kind of in shock” and unable to return to work.

The Edmonds Police Department released a statement highlighting that the suspect’s actions were motivated by the victims’ race and political beliefs. “During the incident, the suspect indicated the race of the victims, and their political beliefs were the catalyst for her approaching and yelling at them about their views before the assault.”

The suspect, who remains unnamed, was detained and booked into the Snohomish County Jail. Police Chief Michelle Bennett emphasized the importance of protecting peaceful political expression, stating, “The constitution protects peaceful rallies in our community, and community members should never be met with violence while exercising those rights.”

Mayor Mike Rosen also expressed his dismay over the incident, remarking, “I’m disheartened that this violence has occurred in our community. Elections are an important part of society, and freedom of expression is the foundation on which democracy is built.”

Despite the confrontation, Powell remains undeterred in her support for Trump, drawing inspiration from a past campaign rally incident. “He got shot by a bullet, and he said ‘fight, fight, fight,’ I got a little jab in my chin, so I’m not sitting down,” Powell declared.

The Edmonds Police Department chose to delay the public announcement of the arrest until after the election to avoid exacerbating political tensions.

FBI Arrests Michigan Man for Threatening Trump’s Christian Supporters

Published

A Michigan man has been taken into custody by the FBI following allegations of making threats to kill conservative Christians if Donald Trump secures another election victory. This arrest underscores the ongoing tensions surrounding political and religious affiliations in the United States.

The Justice Department announced that the FBI National Threat Operations Center received a menacing online message on November 2. This led to an investigation that traced the threat back to Isaac Sissel, a 25-year-old from Michigan, through phone records and an IP address.

Sissel faces a serious charge of making a threatening interstate communication, a felony that could result in a five-year prison sentence if he is found guilty.

Court documents reveal that Sissel expressed strong opinions about former President Trump and his supporters. According to the documents, Sissel believes Trump poses a significant danger that has not been adequately addressed by progressives and liberals. He allegedly feels that violence might be the only solution to counter Trump’s influence and that of his Christian supporters.

The criminal complaint states:
“Sissel … stated that former President Trump was a threat, a ‘piece of s***’ that should have been assassinated, and that everything would be better if Trump was dead.”

While Sissel claimed he would not personally harm Trump, he reportedly mentioned that he would not interfere if someone else attempted to do so.

“Sissel said that he hated conservative Christians, who he enjoyed threatening.”

In discussions with authorities, Sissel also mentioned that he might consider joining Antifa protests against the election results. His online presence further corroborates these threats, with social media accounts under names such as “ShootUpTrumpRally,” “PlanningToShootTrump,” and “WillShootTrumpSoon.”

Tragic Florida Officer’s Death Unveils Dark Plot and Shocks Community

Published

on

In a tragic incident that has left a Florida community in shock, Orange County Sheriff’s Office Lieutenant Eloilda “Ellie” Shea was allegedly shot and killed by her estranged husband. The suspect, Anthony Shea, reportedly attempted to disguise the crime as a suicide.

Authorities discovered Lieutenant Shea’s body with a gunshot wound to the head on Monday afternoon at a residence on El Prado Avenue. Initially, the circumstances seemed to indicate a suicide.

“At the time, we responded to those inquiries with the information we had, which was that the call appeared to be a suicide,” the sheriff’s office stated. However, further investigation revealed a more sinister truth.

The arrest report, as covered by Fox 35, indicates that Anthony Shea, a former sergeant with the same sheriff’s office, was responsible for the fatal shooting. He allegedly tried to cover up his actions by making the scene look like a suicide.

Anthony Shea was taken into custody on Friday and charged with first-degree murder with a firearm. He is currently held in the Orange County Jail without the possibility of bond.

The couple’s relationship had been tumultuous. “We had a bad night last night, arguing about my affair,” Anthony Shea reportedly admitted. He resigned from his position in August amid an internal investigation related to allegations of misconduct, including having an affair and engaging in inappropriate conduct while on duty.

Lieutenant Ellie Shea, who joined the Orange County Sheriff’s Office in 2011, is remembered fondly by her colleagues. “Ellie cared deeply about this agency and the work we do, and I considered her a rising star,” Sheriff John Mina expressed in a heartfelt statement.

The loss has been profoundly felt within the department. “We have all struggled this week with feelings of shock, grief and guilt while we tried to make sense of Ellie’s death, which was meant to appear as a suicide,” Sheriff Mina continued. He also commended the dedication of the homicide detectives who handled the challenging task of investigating a colleague’s murder.

The tragedy extends beyond the department, as Ellie leaves behind two young daughters. Sheriff Mina poignantly remarked, “It’s devastating to know we will never again be on the receiving end of Ellie’s kindness or warm smile. We pray for her two girls, the rest of her family, and all of those who love her.”
