DoorDash Driver’s Armed Response To Carjack Attempt
In the early hours of a Tuesday morning in a Philadelphia suburb, an armed DoorDash driver found himself facing a couple of attempted carjackers. The incident unfolded at the Lynnewood Gardens Apartments on Humphrey Merry Way in Cheltenham Township, as reported by WCAU-TV, who sourced their information from local law enforcement.
The driver was delivering food at the location when he was confronted by two individuals, one of whom was armed. The assailants demanded the driver’s keys, which he tossed onto the ground.
“Lt. Andrew Snyder of Cheltenham Police told WCAU that investigators believe carjacking was the suspects’ motive since DoorDash drivers don’t deal with cash.”
The driver, who had a legally purchased gun and a permit to carry, reportedly fired back after hearing a gunshot. The suspects subsequently fled the scene.
In the subsequent manhunt, a K-9 unit discovered 18-year-old Divine Allen Hargrove hiding near a garage. WCAU-TV reported that Hargrove was found in close proximity to a ghost gun, loaded with an extended magazine of 26 live rounds.
Hargrove claimed to be a victim, yet his description matched that given by the DoorDash driver. The station reported that Hargrove was arraigned on robbery and gun charges and was taken to Montgomery County Correctional Facility after failing to post $100,000 bail.
While one suspect remains at large, no injuries were reported in the incident. An interesting twist to the events is that the resident of the delivery address had not placed the order. WTXF-TV reported that officials have received similar robbery reports in the area.
Snyder conveyed to WCAU-TV that delivery drivers “feel the need to arm themselves for their own personal protection, and it’s incidents like this that kind of reinforce that philosophy.”
He urged anyone who may have been a victim of a similar crime to come forward. “We really want to hear from anybody who may have been a victim of something similar who just didn’t report it or felt that they didn’t want to get involved.”

The anti gun Democrats and their propaganda fake news media outlets are pushing that ghost guns are “untraceable” is not exactly true. A semiautomatic firearm that leaves ejected expended shell cases can be compared by the marks left on the primer face.
Additionally, if a bullet fired from the ghost gun, that is found in good condition, can be compared to the twists in the rifling of the barrel of the ghost gun! These two firearms identification techniques can be used, regardless if a gun has serialized markings or is what’s known as a ghost gun.
The anti gun reporter implied that if a ghost gun is used during a crime, is completely untraceable, which is not true.
The mass majority of criminals who use guns to commit a crime, do not use a gun registered to them. That is a fact. The guns used on the street s by criminals are almost always stolen. Moreover, a lot of the criminals will scratch off the serial numbers on the firearm to eliminate the police from locating who the registered owner is.
The Democrats and the mainstream news media are typically pushing misinformation of what ghost guns really are. The left typically tries to mislead citizens because the majority have know idea how guns function and how police trace all guns used in crimes.

A scary ghost gun??????? A ghost gun is more scary than a regular firearm, I guess. But this gun was loaded with an “extended” magazine and had 26 “live” rounds. It would have been ok if the gun had a “regular” magazine and was loaded with “dead” rounds. OMG.

“shall not be infringed” doesn’t say anyting about a permit. The founders wrote these laws, for the people, to let them know WHAT THE GOV”T. CANNOT DO TO THE CITIZEN. That ended when our first tyrant and mass murderer, Abe Lincoln destroyed the republic, killing 660 000+ people. Now Amerika is an oligarchy, “those with the gpld (corps.) make the rules”. Amerika is MOB RULE & communist today. Gestapo, corrupt judges and all….

I don’t have a firearm. I also don’t do late night deliveries. A robbery can happen anytime of day. I have had training for firearm use. A dasher needs to have the means to protect themselves.
