Rapper’s Alleged Killer Apprehended by Houston Police
The Houston Police Department has reported a significant development in the fatal shooting case of Migos rapper Takeoff, which occurred on November 1. Patrick Xavier Clark, 33, has been taken into police custody and charged with murder.
According to court documents cited by TMZ, prosecutors have requested that Clark’s bail be set at $1 million. In addition, they have asked the judge to issue a restriction order preventing Clark from contacting Takeoff’s family, J. Prince Jr., his family, Shakur Stevenson, and individuals associated with his occupation.
The Houston Police Department has confirmed the arrest of Clark in connection to the death of Takeoff.
In an interesting twist of events, it has been proposed by the prosecution that if Clark manages to post bail, he should be placed under mandatory house arrest. This suggestion comes after it was revealed that Clark had applied for an expedited passport immediately following the rapper’s untimely death.
This move, along with other suspicious activities — such as arranging a flight to Mexico and being found in possession of a significant amount of money at the time of his arrest — has raised eyebrows. All this information was obtained from court documents acquired by TMZ.
Takeoff’s last moments were spent in a local bowling alley, enjoying the company of friends, including another Migos member, Quavo. Disturbance broke out when a member of the group became involved in a physical confrontation. Despite not being a part of the disagreement, Takeoff tragically ended up being a victim of the ensuing gunfire.
According to the police, the beloved rapper was an innocent bystander who was unarmed when he was shot. As per TMZ’s report, he was fatally struck in the head and torso and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The shocking incident unfolded in the presence of nearly 30 attendees. An alarming detail that has emerged is that almost all of the witnesses fled the scene without providing a formal statement to the police. TMZ also revealed that two other individuals sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the chaos that ensued.
